CITIZEN CHARTER (INDUSTRIAL TRAINING WING)

We are a Govt. department under the ministry of Technical Education & Industrial Training Pb.

We are responsible for: -

1.       

Implementing the Policies and Programs of NCVT the Apex Body at national level coordinating the development of Vocational Training at all levels including its qualitative & quantitative growth.

2.       

Coordinating the approval to new Industrial Training Institutes (Govt. & Private) from NCVT/DGE&T.

3.       

Granting approval to new Institutions (Govt./Private) at SCVT level.

4.       

Granting approval to the introduction of new trades/programmes in Govt./pvt. Institutes.

5.       

Dissemination of norms & standards of NCVT for various trades/Programmes.

6.       

Recommending to Govt. norms & guidelines for charging tuition fee & other funds.

7.       

Formulating schemes for promoting Vocational Training for trainees specially for women, handicapped & weaker sections of society.

8.       

Preparation of Annual Plan for release of funds from the State Govt.

9.       

Promoting effective link between Vocational Training system & other system such as Industry & Community.

10.  

Evolving suitable performance appraisal system regarding staff deployed in Vocational Training Institutions.

11.  

Implementing various schemes for staff development in Vocational Training Institutions.

12.  

Follow action on the inspection report of Vocational Training Institutions.

The system will be need based and holistic in nature true to our tradition, which will produce skilled/semi skilled workforce to face the challenges of liberalization & globalization and with the support of State & Central Govt. to make the Vocational Training System more dynamic to face the challenges of all sectors of economic and social activity.

Monitor the implementation of norms and standards of Vocational Training in the State.

2.       

Cause to grant approval for NCVT/DGE&T for starting of new ITI (Govt. & Pvt.) and additional of New Trades.

3.       

Grant approval for starting of new ITI's (Govt./Pvt.) & special trade Institutes at the state level under the aegis of SCVT.

4.       

Maintain liaison and work in close cooperation with State Govt. NCVT, DGE&T and CAC.

5.       

Strengthening Vocational Education through various staff development schemes.

6.       

Recommending pay scales and service conditions for staff serving in vocational training institutions.

7.       

Implementing various schemes introduced by state govt. regarding pay scales and other benefits.

8.       

Implementing various schemes introduced by Govt. regarding welfare of staff.

To promote innovations in teaching & research activities.

From Industry

  •  

To give inputs in the Curriculum so that it is oriented to changing needs of Industry and adaptable to technological improvements.

Advice the department for innovative schemes more suited to the job requirements of the Industry.

 

From Society

  •  

Active participation in helping the department in stopping commercialization of Industrial Training and helping training institution realize their potential as change agents.

To provide feed back regarding irregularities/ exploitation & commercialization for necessary action against erring institutions.

  •  

To get informed and keep a vigil on institutions imparting training without proper approval and to inform people accordingly about the repercussions.

  •
